In practice, yes. "Biohazard waste" is the common name and "regulated medical waste" is the formal regulatory term for the same blood- and OPIM-contaminated material. Both are managed under the same OSHA, DOT, and state rules, and MP1 Solution handles them as a single stream.
It's segregated into the correct containers at the point of use, collected on a schedule, transported by a licensed carrier under DOT rules, and treated at a licensed facility — usually autoclaving for infectious waste and incineration for pathological and trace chemo waste — with a certificate of destruction issued afterward.
